Zheng He's fleet was the largest armada in world history until WW II, consisting of dozens of capital ships and hundreds of smaller support ships. The fleet was virtually a floating city, with nearly 27 thousand crewmen, including, scientist, scholars,cooks, smiths, artist, soldiers and craftsmen.
