This illustrated comic esque map is a taken from a Japanese propaganda booklet from the 1930's. The map illustrates the East Asian Co-Prosperty Sphere, a sly term for the Japanese Empire, which by the 1930's encompassed Indochina, Indonesia, large swaths of China, Manchuria,Korea, and Taiwan. The EACPS was presented as a radical reaction against western imperialism in east Asia, but was really just a cover for the Japanese brutal resources and subjection of the non Japanese.
